The pandemic is a fact and possibly it will still be present when you decide to travel, that is why you will have medical attention, hospitalization and in case your flight is canceled due to this situation, we will help you return home. Travel in peace with this benefit!

In what situation could I use this benefit?
In case you have to isolate yourself due to a positive diagnosis of COVID, or one of your travel companions or relative in the first degree of consanguinity and you must cancel the trip.

Important:YOU MUST PURCHASE THIS UPGRADE WITH YOUR PAX. MINIMUM 7 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE TRIP, FOR THE CANCELLATION BENEFIT TO BE VALID

What happens if I have to isolate myself before traveling?
We will reimburse the expenses that you cannot recover due to the cancellation of the trip up to the indicated amount.

What happens if I get infected during the trip?

  • We will reimburseaccommodation and food expenses.
  • We will help you with the difference in the rate for the return trip or transfer.
  • Transfer of a relative: We will help you so that your relative is with you.
  • Assistance through telemedicine during mandatory isolation, to monitor the patient"s health status.
  • You will receive emotional health through telepsychology, just like your relatives.

Essential requirement (no exceptions):
You must have the original invoice of the device or customs declaration before leaving your country of residence.
Without one of these documents, we cannot grant the benefit.

If a theft or robbery occurs during the trip:

  • File the report immediately, that same day, with the local police or similar agencies where you are located (as appropriate).
  • The report must include the technical description and identifying data of the device: brand, model, serial number/IMEI, or other relevant data.
  • Contact us immediately via WhatsApp (24/7) and send the report + documentation.

Without a report, unfortunately we cannot take care of the benefit.

Professional Sports

Up to USD 30.000 (Up to 65 years of age)

Traveling is also an opportunity for sports recreation or perhaps the reason for your trip. We will support you in the activity you carry out, be it recreational, training or competitive.

Our plans include medical assistance for the practice of amateur sports, but if you are going to practice or compete in any of the following recreational activities, we recommend adding this "Professional Sports" Upgrade to your plan:

If you have a pre-existing condition, Pax recommends that you consider adding this benefit to your plan to extend the assistance limit.

What is a pre-existing disease?
They are those pathophysiologies that you suffered from before starting the trip and are part of your life. They may or may not have been diagnosed before.

What does medical care for pre-existing illnesses include?
Includes primary medical care for acute episodes, or unpredictable cases, decompensation of known chronic and/or pre-existing illnesses or previously asymptomatic that require assistance during the trip.

If I have a health emergency due to a pre-existing illness, what do I do?
Before traveling, we recommend you to have a medical check-up and get a written confirmation that you are fit to travel for the planned number of days and to the planned destination.
If something happens, simply contact our Pax Help Line, by phone or whatsapp and we will assist you immediately.
Do not forget to identify yourself, tell your symptoms during the call so that we can provide a better solution to your situation.

Extra Multi Cause Cancellation USD 2.000

Up to 75 years old - USD 36* per person

Sometimes unforeseen events complicate our plans and force us to suspend the trip.
There may be many reasons, but you will not lose your money with this benefit.

What does multi-cause cancellation mean?
When for any reason included under the conditions you have to cancel the trip, we will help you to recover the expenses of the services that you could not use.

Important for this benefit to be valid, you must contract it with your Pax Plan:
-PRIOR OR MAXIMUM 72HS. AFTER THE FIRST PAYMENT OF THE TOURIST SERVICES
- NOT LATER THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE TRIP

Here are some of the causes for which you could use this benefit: Change of job, job layoff or because your job canceled your vacation; damage to your home or business premises, epidemic; illness, accident or death of the beneficiary or a family member; inability to travel of your traveling companion; complications of pregnancy or emergency childbirth; wedding cancellation; being summoned as a witness or juror; receiving a child for adoption; etc.

It is important that you contact us at least 24 hours before to our headquarters and make use of this benefit explaining the reason for cancellation of the trip in order to manage your refund depending on your pax plan.

In case of "Annual Multi-Trip" plans, this benefit will apply only once and corresponds to the initial trip

Extreme Sports

Up to USD 30.000 (Up to 65 years old)

Are you an adventurer and the activity that you like so much awaits you at your destination?
If the activity you are going to do is risky, you should not hesitate to add this Upgrade to your Pax Plan.

Activities included in the upgrade for "Extreme Sports":
Skydiving, paragliding, acrobatic skiing, alpine skiing, luge, off-piste skiing, rafting above level 5, canoeing level 5, ice mountain climbing, motorcycling, motor racing, rugby, BMX, mountain biking, heli- skiing, parktour, wingsuit flying and boxing.

What is sports medical assistance?
You will be able to do the activities that you like and in case you have an accident during sports practice, you will be able to count on medical attention, medicines, medical transfer, hospitalization and hotel expenses for convalescence.

What do I do if a problem occurs while practicing sports?
If you have an accident, call us immediately at our assistance center via Whatsapp. In the event that you must treat yourself by your own means, do not forget to save all the receipts/invoices of medical attention to be able to manage your reimbursement.

Traveling and pregnancy are two words full of happiness. Pax accompanies you so that you can enjoy beautiful experiences with your future baby.

If you are traveling pregnant and you are between 19 and 42 years old, pax will provide you with medical assistance in case of complications until week 26 included in your Pax plan; but if you are over 42 years old or have passed the 26th week of pregnancy; or you simply want to have a larger amount of assistance, we suggest you add this benefit.

What does assistance for pets include?

  • In case of accident and/or non-pre-existing illness of the pet, Pax Assistance will cover the costs of necessary veterinary assistance, such as consultations, medication, diagnostic tests or surgical interventions, among others, as long as it is a verifiable emergency.
  • In addition to necessary administrative procedures and repatriation expenses, in the event of the death of the pet.
  • Valid for 90 calendar days for pets between 4 months and 11 years old inclusive.
